Tipperary duo The 2 Johnnies celebrate full year atop Spotify podcast charts

It has been quite the year for The 2 Johnnies with a string of sold-out gigs including Pints in a Field, Farmer’s Bash, three nights in the Gleneagle Arena, Killarney, and New York, and the third series of Late Night Lock In returning to television screens.

Now they have even more to celebrate, with news that The 2 Johnnies Podcast is officially the number one podcast on Spotify in Ireland, spending 52 consecutive weeks at the top spot cementing their popularity with listeners.

They celebrated in style with a special cake, and are already plotting and planning to keep the show at the top of the charts.

They will be kicking off 2026 with some big international guests.

“I can’t believe it, I had no idea until Spotify told us. We don’t follow the charts very much. We just can’t thank our listeners enough, ye are some legends! The stories people send us are incredible, mental, honest, hilarious, and very Irish. It’s such an honour to be able to podcast for a living, we don’t take a second of it for granted and we’re only getting started. Thanks for listening,” said Johnny B.

“Thanks so much to everyone for listening. This started in Johnny B’s back room and has taken us all around the world to stages like the 3Arena and St Anne’s Park to New York. We’ve got big things planned and can’t wait to drive it on even more. Thanks to all the guests, listeners, and our team who work so hard on the pod, ye’re all legends. Here’s to loads more weeks at the top,” said Johnny Smacks.
