Carrick-on-Suir and other areas of Tipperary experienced flooding this morning following heavy overnight rainfall.
Local Sinn Féin Councillor David Dunne shared footage on his social media showing flooding in Ballyrichard Court in Carrick-on-Suir this morning, with no houses reported damaged.

Fianna Fáil Senator Imelda Goldsboro, representing Tipperary South and Seanad spokesperson on Transport and Rural Community Affairs, shared an image of the flooding on social media with the following statement:
“Due to substantial rainfall, localised flooding occurring on all roads. Crews are out trying to alleviate issues throughout the district. Please allow extra time when travelling.”
Speaking to the Tipperary Star, Senator Goldsboro stated:
“We had substantial rainfall from late last night and throughout the night, so unfortunately it caused some areas to flood this morning. Now the rain has subsided the last number of hours so the council crews have been out working very hard to," she said.
The Senator identified Ballingarry, Mullinahone, Killenaule and Fethard as other areas affected. “There was substantial rain causing roads to flood...there was floods on roads that there was never floods on before this morning.”
Tipperary County Council’s outdoor crews were on the ground throughout the morning, working to clear affected roads and minimise disruption.
