An in-person parenting talk focusing on teenage screen use will take place at The Source Arts Centre in Thurles next month, featuring psychotherapist and author Richard Hogan.

The event, titled Parenting the Screenager, will be held on Tuesday, 3 March 2026, at 7.00 p.m. It is being presented by Tipperary County Council Library Service as part of the Healthy Ireland programme and is free to attend.
Mr Hogan is a well known family psychotherapist, bestselling author and Irish Examiner columnist, with a background in mental health, education and inclusion.
He is also an award-winning researcher and a frequent speaker on issues affecting children, adolescents and families.
The session will examine the challenges facing parents raising teenagers in a digital environment. Attendees can expect practical guidance on managing screen time, alongside insights drawn from clinical practice and research.
The talk is designed to be accessible and supportive, with an emphasis on real world strategies for family life.
The event will take place at The Source Arts Centre, Thurles, and is open to parents and guardians. Tickets are available exclusively through Eventbrite.
