Swimmers line up at the starting point in the River Suir at a previous Barry McCarthy Memorial Swim.
Carrick-on-Suir Triathlon Club's annual Barry McCarthy Memorial Charity Swims will take place in the River Suir at Sean Healy Park this Saturday, July 7.
Registration opens at 12 noon and first swim starts at 1.30pm. Distances are: 500m, 750 metres and 1500m.
All are welcome to join in. There will be prizes on the day along with random spot prizes and a free barbecue for everyone will be freshly prepared later that evening.
All funds raised will go directly to the South Tipperary Hospice. Tel: 087-4177545 for info.
