Green with Envy discuss sustainability at COP 27 Junk Kouture 2022.

National Finalists Mary Ryan, Hannah and Katie O’Mahoney, the trio behind the design Green with Envy, were asked to join an online discussion panel for COP 27 youth day on Thursday, November 10.

They spoke about how they made their dress from discarded leather couches and briquette bailing ties which they wound into an elaborate headpiece.

They joined Junk Kouture promoters, sponsors and fellow designers to talk about the importance of empowering young people to embrace the principles of sustainable living today.

It was a vibrant exchange of ideas in an online forum, and the Ursuline Junk Kouture team were delighted to be selected to give their views and opinions on creativity, fashion and climate action.
