Cahir Development CLG wish to let everyone know that the Christmas lights will be erected and shining brightly once again over the Christmas season in Cahir.
The Christmas lights will be switched on from Saturday, December 3 with times from 4pm to 9pm every day and this will continue right through to New Year’s Eve when they will be switched off permanently.
We have cut down the lighting time by three hours per day up to Christmas and by six days after Christmas, so we are doing our bit for the environment.
We are grateful for the support of a grant towards the Christmas Lights from Tipperary County Council local but to make up the shortfall local traders help is needed once again to cover the cost of erecting and taking down of the Christmas lights in Cahir for 2022.
A Go Fund Me page has also been launched to give local people a chance to donate if they wish to help with the cost so look for the ‘Light up Cahir again for Christmas’ link on the site. There will also be a raffle in SuperValu on December 16 & 17 3 for €5 with some great prizes on offer.
We are grateful for your support of the Christmas Lights fundraising campaign.
