Moved to wing back for this game after playing in the centre against Laois, Maher had a steady game and once again figured prominently in the play. Hit two frustrating wides which can take from his quality in games, but there is time to rectify that deficiency. The only question is where in the half back line the Thurles Sarsfields man will line out.
