Carrick-on-Suir Roadrunners AC have been busy over the past few weeks, competing far and wide.
GRAIGUE-BALLYCALLAN 10K ROAD RACE
The Graigue-Ballycallan AC 10k road race, hosted by Graigue-Ballycallan Athletic Club, was held at Kilmanagh, Co Kilkenny on Sunday, March 19. Our club was well represented by Eugene O’Keeffe, finishing second overall in 38.22 followed by a great performance in the women’s 10K by Gráinne Brennan, finishing second overall in 46:17.
Well done to both.
MALLOW 10 MILE ROAD RACE 2023
The Mallow 10 mile road race took place at Mallow on Sunday last. The race, with a field of just over 1,000 runners competing in good weather conditions, was hosted by Mallow Athletic Club.
Well to our sole representative, Deirdre Power who ran very well to complete the 10 miles in 1:23:52.
TIPPERARY COUNTY SENIOR ROAD CHAMPIONSHIPS
The Tipperary Senior Road Championships were held at Templemore on Sunday last. Our club had two athletes taking part; well done to Eugene O’Keeffe, finishing in 17th in 38:27 and Keith Fraher, 22nd in 39:30.
The race winners were Kevin Moore, Dundrum AC in 32:12 in the men’s 10k and in the women’s 5k Dymphna Ryan, Dundrum AC in 17:24.
KILSHEELAN 10 MILER ON ST PATRICK’S DAY
The Kilsheelan 10 mile road race took at Kilsheelan village on St Patrick’s Day.
Well done to Eugene O’Keeffe, putting in a very strong performance to finish second overall. Eugene completed the course in a time of 1:01:58, followed by excellent running by Thomas Finn 23rd in 1:08:29, Johnny Lyons 33rd in 1:10:41, Eoghan Coughlan in 1:14:07, William O’Dwyer in 1:16:20 and Brian Graham in 1:22:40.
