Malin to Mizen run for Barnardos  is postponed until next summer

Emmett McAviney was due to run 7000km for charity but the run has been postponed

On Wednesday 28th June, Monaghan native Emmett McAviney was looking to take on the gruelling challenge of running 700KM from Malin Head in Co Donegal to Mizen Head in Co Cork for the children's charity but due to a recent injury the event has been postponed.

The run was expected to take place over a 10-day period and cover 12 counties namely Donegal, Derry, Tyrone, Monaghan, Cavan, Meath, Kildare, Carlow, Kilkenny, Tipperary and Cork.

Emmet was expected to stop off in Fethard GAA Club Co Tipperary, Cahir GAA Club and Galtee Gaels GAA Club Co Limerick on Tuesday 4th July but the event will not take place now this summer due to unforseen circumstances.
