County Senior and Intermediate Football Championships begin this weekend

There's a busy weekend of football in store in Tipperary this weekend, as the FBD Insurance County Senior and Intermediate Football Championships get underway.

There are eight games being played in the senior championship, beginning tonight, Thursday, when Eire Og Annacarty/Donohill and Drom/Inch meet in Dundrum at 7.30.

On Friday night it's the turn of Ardfinnan and Ballina, who face off in Templemore at 7.30, while on the same night Loughmore/Castleiney play Moycarkey/Borris in Gortnahoe, also at 7.30.

In the third game on Friday night, Rockwell Rovers and Ballyporeen will be in opposition in Clonmel Sportsfield at 7.30.

County senior champions Clonmel Commercials begin the defence of their title against Kilsheelan/Kilcash in Ardfinnan at 3pm on Saturday.

Later on Saturday, Killenaule and Arravale Rovers will meet in Boherlahan at 5.30, while in the second game of a double bill at Boherlahan JK Brackens take on Moyle Rovers at 7pm.

Finally, Cahir and Upperchurch/Drombane will be in action in Golden at 7pm on Saturday evening.
