Rugby, soccer and GAA fixtures featuring Clonmel teams are all postponed

There is a real treat in store for Tipperary rugby fans as Cashel RFC host Nenagh Ormond on Friday night

Sporting fixtures in the Clonmel area are called off

Clonmel rugby club were due to line out this afternoon in a pre season friendly with Old Christians but following yesterday’s tragic car accident in Clonmel, as mark of respect to all those impacted, today’s game is cancelled. 

The game was due to take place at Ard Gaoithe in the town this afternoon however the town is in mourning following the single-vehicle collision in south Tipperary last night.

Sporting fixtures in the area are called off. The GAA fixtures involving Clonmel sides are postponed until midweek while TSDL football games involving Clonmel teams are also postponed. 

The next rugby fixture now on the horizon for Clonmel is against Dolphin which is fixed for Musgrave Park on the 2nd of September at 2.30pm.
