SC & K United 4 – 1 Cullen Lattin

Kilsheelan’s Youths picked up their first win of the season at home on Saturday when they dispatched Cullen Lattin with a dominant display that helped them to a four goals to one victory.

The opening exchanges saw the home side create the better chances, before the visitors were reduced to ten men midway through the first half.

The hosts continued to see most of the ball without creating any clear cut opportunities, and the sides went into the break scoreless.

Just moments into the second half, the home side finally made their pressure pay off when Gus Nolan twisted and turned before firing home inside the penalty area.

The lead was doubled in the 53rd minute when Sean Boyle found the bottom corner from 20 yards, to put Kilsheelan in complete control of the game.

Two became three just before the hour mark when Senan O’Shea got the goal his workrate deserved, firing home from close range to open his account for the season.

By the 65th minute they had added a fourth when Brandon Landers volleyed home from the right after a smart crossfield ball.
To Cullen Lattin’s credit, they continued to battle and deservedly pulled a goal back in the final minutes, firing home from the edge of the penalty area but it was much too little, much too late to make any difference to the result.
