Notable Year for Imelda and Miriam
The final duty of 2023 Captain Mary Lyons was to present Silver Medal, Bronze Medal and Golfer of the Year Plate. Having thanked all the Teams and Team Managers who brought great pride to the Club and much success throughout the year, Mary thanked all the members who played in Club competitions and supported many fundraising events especially the Play in Pink Day and the Hospice Open Day.
Mary was delighted to highlight the very successful year of Imelda Buckley who won the Club Bronze Medal and represented Cahir Park in the Munster Regional Final played at Ballyneety Golf Club and the All-Ireland Final played at Headford Golf Club.
Imelda played consistently good golf throughout 2023 and achieved the Club Golfer of the Year, including the Vera Freeman Silver Plate. Imelda was overjoyed to be presented with the Bronze Medal and the Plate, recalling her memories of the Late Vera Freeman, the first Ladies Captain of Cahir Park, and the kindness of the Lady to new members.
Miriam Halley was thrilled to be presented with the Club Silver Medal.
