Tipperary school celebrate the feast of their founder

Ursuline Secondary School, Thurles

On Friday, January 26, the Ursuline Secondary School celebrated the feast of their founder St Angela Merici, a day in advance, with a prayer service over the intercom.

Thanks to Chaplain Fr Jim Purcell, who lead the prayers, and to the students who participated through singing and reading, second years Evie Kennedy, Keeva Nolan, Claire Fitzgerald, Kate Corbett and Juiette Macken. Special mention to Ms Egan, who wrote, prepared and organised the prayer service.

As is tradition, there was also a treat for everyone at break time in recognition of this special day in the Ursuline calendar.

Contributed to School Days in the Tipperary Star by the Ursuline Secondary School.
