The final of our inaugural Great TY Pres Bake Off took place last Tuesday in our kitchens amid great anticipation and excitement with seven of our TY students (Saoirse Barrett, Amelia Tracey, Eve Ryan Dundon, Pippa Quigley, Oliwia Domagala Pszenica, Orla Power and Niamh O’Regan) creating their visions for their final Showstopper cake.
Well done to each of the bakers, who completed an amazing feat in such a short space of time.
Each showstopper looked and tasted incredible! Congratulations to our overall winner, Pippa Quigley, with her bespoke mermaid cake!

Special thanks to our external judges Jackie Lanigan Ryan (Horse and Jockey Hotel), Elizabeth Dunphy (Cashel Palace) and Louise O’Connell (Runnerbean), who had to make the very difficult and final decision.
Finally, a huge ‘Míle buíochas’ to our teachers, Ms Frida Dunne and Ms Maura Carroll for organising the whole competition and to Ms Fiona Mulcahy for her help.
This whole experience is certainly a memory that the girls will never forget!
