Like Ormond in the other corner, Sean Ryan showed well for the ball and was involved a fair amount in play but struggled to add his scoring touch to proceedings.
Again, a harder surface would be a preferred sight for Ryan but he did show his class finishing with a second-half goal after a Craig Morgan delivery, and it was a timely reminder of why he is getting his chance to impress this year.
Hopefully, the Templederry Kenyons sharpshooter can continue to transfer his club form to the intercounty scene.
