Sandy Kelly
First up we have much-loved Irish artist Sandy Kelly, who will perform at The Source in March.
Born into her grandfather, Dusky Dan’s Variety Roadshow, her destiny was sealed from her first stage appearance at the age of three, laying the foundations for a lifelong career in music.
She was co-opted into the family travelling fit-up variety show in Ireland and later, as a teenager, the social club circuit in the UK playing an ever more prominent role until she returned to Ireland and developed initially as a pop performer before following her instincts and concentrating on a country music career.
For this concert, Sandy will be joined by guests, Ashley Campbell, Thor Jensen, and Niall McCabe.
Following a long hiatus from the recording studio, in October 2023, Sandy released her first studio album in thirty years, in tandem with her self-penned life story, In My Own Words, published by O’Brien Press and now in spring 2024, embarks on a nationwide tour.
With Sandy’s live band, this promises to be an intimate evening of new and old songs, stories and featuring the very best emerging country and folk talent. This promises to be an intimate evening to remember and an opportunity to catch up with one of Ireland’s indisputably successful country music artists.

Next up we have Declan Nerney, who returns to The Source for one night only with guests John McNicholl and John Hogan!
Declan was born in the heart of Ireland in Drumlish, county Longford, at a unique period of time in the music scene worldwide.
A revolution in rock and pop brought us The Beatles, Elvis, and the Rolling Stones, while here in Ireland, the magnificent showband boom was about to explode.

A young man growing up at that time, Declan was being heavily influenced by these greats and indeed was getting the rare opportunity to see most of the top showbands appear in his native town of Drumlish.
He would cajole his mother into seeing Joe Dolan, Big Tom, Philomena Begley, The Capital Showband, and many more perform when they appeared at the marquee at the end of May and early June.
From his vantage point close to the stage, he would absorb every move made by the guitarist in the bands, watching his fingers slide along the strings, hoping that one day he might be up there performing just like Dan O’Hara or Seamus McMahon.
Declan has gone on to have a super career that has spanned over four decades at the top of Irish Country Music winning many accolades along the way and scoring countless hits with his catalogue of trademark song.
Join him and his super live band with special guests John McNicholl and John Hogan for a nostalgic night of music, song, and laughter on the Where’s the Party nationwide concert tour.
Advance tickets for all shows are available online at www.thesourceartscentre.ie - or by phone from the Box office on 0504 90204.
