The curious case of Gearoid O’Connor’s form will be frustrating for Tipperary fans as he looked like a man who would lead the forward line this year after his brilliant league and Fitzgibbon Cup form.
Alas, it just hasn’t happened for the Moyne Templetuohy since the Galway league game and he looks like a player low on energy and confidence.
He did one or two good things in the game but he was part of a half forward line that was eaten alive - particularly in the second half - and he will need to rediscover form quickly if Tipp are to get out of Munster.
