Pictured at last week's lecture: Eddie Stapleton, John Joe Conwell, Johnny Connors and Noreen Higgins-McHugh.
Historian John Joe Conwell delivered an excellent lecture on the Land War in Ireland last week on May 28.
He presented the lecture to the members of the Sr Áine Historical Society of Templemore, gathered in the McAuley Centre.
If you missed John Joe last week, you will have another opportunity to meet him in the coming weeks, as the society will be travelling to Portumna on Saturday, June 29 for their annual outing.
John Joe will give a walking tour of Portumna, before travelling to Woodford, the Land War village.
It promises to be a great day out.
If you are interested in travelling with the group, contact Ronan Loughnane on 087-7931721.
