Staff in Tipperary University Hospital celebrated their annual Quality Day on Wednesday, May 22.
The event marks the TippUH staff and management’s commitment to providing a quality service for the people of County Tipperary and beyond.
This year’s event also marked 25 years of support from the Patient Service Users Representative Forum.
According to Maura Grogan, Quality Manager in TippUH, “This event visualises the Quality Project ongoing throughout all disciplines and departments within the hospital. It acts as a reminder to staff how lucky we are to treat and help the people of Tipperary when they’re at their most vulnerable. This year we had great engagement with 32 presenters and 37 posters with 71 staff involved in their production. Being able to celebrate 25 years of support from our Patient Service Users Representatives Forum was a privilege and we are grateful for their ongoing support to us here in Tipperary University Hospital”.
All speakers at the one-day event came from within the hospital and were supported by colleagues from the newly established Dublin and South East Health Region which TippUH now falls under.
This year’s theme was Quality & Patient Safety Initiatives & Assurances.
There were samples of the ongoing commitment from TippUH staff to provide a quality service for the patients that it is their privilege to care for.
The Annual Quality Day is all about demonstrating TippUH’s strong commitment to governance but also discuss and learn about quality improvement and patient safety, area’s that management in the hospital are always trying to improve on.
