'Rockshield' book can make a huge difference in people’s lives

Rockshield is an educational program focused on emotional well-being that has been developed by Upperchurch native John Bourke.

The Tipperary author, well-known as an engineer and inventor, has a book out which introduces the reader “to your power to transform your life”. 

The inspiration behind the programme is John’s theory that emotions are energy which we store in the physical body.

The theory also includes that we humans have the power within us to transform this energy from an undesirable state to a positive one.

John says that all age groups have benefitted through the Rockshield Program from 4 years of age right through to 95-year-olds.

He says the thoughts, feelings and emotions we create can be transformed. A household experiment proves the fact and he says it will empower the reader in their daily life. 

He made the breakthrough along with his daughter Jane at the kitchen table in 2014. A simple experiment with water representing the mind and an emoji representing emotion was enough to ensure this successful experiment became the genesis of the Rockshield Program.

The book, which is in shops now, can help those who feel trapped or those who feel they have no voice or power.  Thoughts and emotions about the past as well as about the future can mean that attention is trapped.

The Rockshield Educational Program offers help for people and a gateway to access power and brings attention to the present moment. 

The programme was developed over the last decade by engineer and inventor John Bourke. Rockshield is a simple, fast, effective program that helps people to identify the unhelpful thoughts, emotions and behavior patterns that are holding them back and causing them anguish.

They then show people how to transform this and free themselves from this limiting behavior, which in turn helps them to move forward in their lives and reach their true potential.

The Program has become hugely popular in other countries according to Rockshield Program CEO Joe Ryan: “The program is successful now in many countries. Zimbabwe in particular is one where it has been used by many in open air settings. Getting in touch with your feelings and learning to understand them and making a change for the better in people’s lives is what it is all about.”

Many involved have put a lot of time and effort into this program and have developed it now to a stage where it can make a meaningful positive change in many lives.

Joe says that Rockshield can help people in need: “This program is allowing people to grow and this book is one which can really help on a day to day level.
