13. Darragh McCarthy
Rating: 5/10
Like O’Farrell, the jaded look on McCarthy could be seen by all in attendance. The deliveries into him were 50/50 at best on a number of occasions as Sean O’Donoghue stuck to the young Toomevara man all game long.
The full forward line had little to work with but anytime McCarthy was favourite for possession, he left the ball after him and that would be a disappointment for him.
All things considered, McCarthy has had a magnificent league campaign in his first year at this level, hitting 2-48. His participation in the U20 championship will be contentious now with so many big games to come at senior level.
