The Easter ceremonies will get underway in Clonmel this evening, Wednesday
The following are the Easter ceremonies for the Clonmel parishes -
Ss Peter and Paul’s and Church of the Resurrection
Penitential Service - Ss Peter and Paul’s - Wednesday April 16 at 7.30pm. This service is for all churches in the town.

Holy Thursday - 9.30 am Morning Prayer at the Church of the Resurrection.
Mass of the Lord’s Supper - 7pm, Church of the Resurrection, including prayers at the Altar Of Repose.
7.30pm, Ss Peter and Paul’s Church, including prayers at the Altar Of Repose.

Good Friday - Morning Prayer at 9.30am at the Church of the Resurrection. Stations of the Cross in the Church of the Resurrection at 12 noon. Stations of the Cross in Ss Peter and Paul’s Church at 12 noon. Solemn Liturgy of the Lord’s Passion in Ss Peter and Paul’s Church at 3pm.
Stations of the Cross in Ss Peter and Paul’s Church at 7.30pm. This will be a dramatisation of the Stations by members of the Holy Family Mission.
Holy Saturday - Morning Prayer at 9.30am at the Church of the Resurrection. Confessions will be heard after Morning Prayer in the Resurrection and from 12pm to 1pm in Ss Peter and Paul’s.
The Easter Vigil Liturgy commences in the grounds of Old St Mary’s Church at 7.30pm. All the parishes in the town are coming together for the lighting of the Paschal Fire. The Parish of Ss Peter and Paul’s will then proceed to Ss Peter and Paul’ Church, where the Easter Vigil continues at approximately 8pm. Please bring along a candle and the usual “windshield”.
Easter Sunday Masses - Church of the Resurrection: 10am and Ss Peter and Paul’s Church at 11am and 12.30 pm.
Church of Ireland
Good Friday - Holy Trinity Church of Ireland Fethard. 11am, Morning Service taken by The Very Rev James Mulhall, Dean of Cashel.
Easter Saturday - Old St Mary’s Churchyard, Clonmel. 7pm, Ecumenical Paschal Fire.
St Paul’s, Cahir. 8pm, Paschal Fire and Easter Vigil taken by The Very Rev. James Mulhall, Dean of Cashel.
Easter Sunday - Holy Trinity Church of Ireland, Fethard. 9.30am, Holy Communion.
Old St Mary’s Clonmel. 11am Holy Communion. Both services will be taken by Archdeacon John Murray.
St Mary’s Irishtown
Holy Thursday - 10am Morning Prayer. 7pm, Mass of the Lord’s Supper, followed by Adoration.
Good Friday - 10am, Morning Prayer. 10.30am, Children’s Stations of the Cross. 12 noon, Stations of the Cross. 3pm, Solemn Liturgy of the Passion. 7pm, Prayers around the Cross.
Holy Saturday - 10am, Morning Prayer, Reconciliation Service. 2-5pm, Confessions.
7.30pm, Lighting and Blessing of Paschal Fire, Old St Mary’s - Procession of Light to churches. 8pm (approximately), Solemn Easter Vigil and First Mass of Easter.
Easter Sunday - Masses at 10.30am and 12 noon.
St Oliver’s
Holy Thursday - Evening Mass of the Lord’s Supper at 7.30pm. Adoration at the Altar of Repose to finish at 10pm. Confessions, 8.30 pm-10pm.
Good Friday - Liturgy of The Passion at 3pm. Stations of The Cross at 7.30pm.
Holy Saturday - 7.30pm, Blessing of the Paschal Fire in the grounds of St Oliver’s Church, followed by the Easter Vigil Mass.
Easter Sunday - Masses at 9am and 12 noon. Banna Chluain Meala will perform at 12 noon Mass.
Mass will be celebrated each morning during Easter week at 10am and on Saturday at 11.30am.
