John McGrath. What a man! He is some detail to be hurling to this standard given the tough few years he has had at intercounty level, but it seems that the quality we have seen in the Loughmore Castleiney jersey has been transferred into the blue and gold.
He finished his goals so well in the first half, but it is no exaggeration to suggest that his point in the 65th minute and the free he won a minute later won the game for Tipp, just after Clare had drawn level.
It was crucial to the win as Clare were in control, and it completely turned the game for Tipperary.
