As part of the Jubilee Year of Hope 2025, Bishop Alphonsus Cullinan led a 'Jubilee of Armed Forces, Police, Emergency and Rescue Services' at Kickham Plaza in Clonmel last Sunday.
The event was held on behalf of the Diocese of Waterford and Lismore to acknowledge the work and contribution of frontline and emergency service organisations.
Those in attendance included representatives from An Garda Síochána, the Defence Forces, Fire Services, Civil Defence, the Irish Coast Guard, the Order of Malta, the Red Cross, and Mountain and River Rescue organisations.
Veterans and other associated groups were also invited, and all members were welcome to attend.
The event included a public gathering and religious ceremony led by Bishop Cullinan, offering recognition to those who serve in various emergency and support roles across the region.
