The Nenagh native will appear alongside an impressive cast that includes Dylan O’Brien, Kyle Chandler, Madeline Brewer, Zoey Deutch, Phoebe Dynevor and Mckenna Grace.
The film tells the story of a family torn apart when Josh, played by O’Brien, brings home his girlfriend Liz (Dynevor). Liz is revealed to be the former student of Josh’s mother Ellen, and her controversial past threatens to unravel long-held family secrets.
Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Janice Lee, Anniversary is already generating strong anticipation, with critics tipping it as one of the standout psychological thrillers of the year.
For McCormack, who has steadily risen to prominence with roles in Bad Sisters, Good Luck to You, Leo Grande and Peaky Blinders, this marks another major step in his career on the international stage.
The film is due for release on October 29th.
