There were some great displays of hurling in this Final, with one of the joint captains, Killian Cleary, opening the game with a fine goal. Upperchurch Drombane got into the game with two points to keep in touch with their opposition.
Another goal and a point from Killian Cleary saw Loughmore Castleiney finish with 2-2. Upperchurch Drombane kept the scoreboard ticking over with some fine points with 65’s and play from Captain Jack Ryan to stay in touch at half time on 0-6.
However, Loughmore Castleiney scored 1-1 to Upperchurch Drombane 0-1 to secure the victory by two points.
Captains Tomas Kennedy and Killian Cleary collected the Templemore Jewellers sponsored cup from Mid Chairman John Fahey, while the Man of the Match award was presented and sponsored by Michelle McKelvey to Tomas Kennedy.
