REPORTS: Success for JK Brackens, Moycarkey Borris, and Loughmore Castleiney in U13 Mid finals

Group 4

Holycross Ballycahill: 2-8

Drom & Inch 1-7

This was certainly a game of two halves.  Holycross Ballycahill were 1-4 up to Drom & Inch’s 0-4 by half-time, with points coming from Michael O’Meara and Eoin Cafferkey amongst others.  Holycross Ballycahill goalie Mark Fitzpatrick made some fine saves during the first half to keep Drom at bay.  Drom & Inch’s four points all came from a very talented Jamie Ryan.

Drom & Inch came flying out of the traps in the second half, with Goalie Tom Butler making a couple of fantastic saves to deny Holycross Ballycahill. Two more points from Jamie Ryan brought Drom & Inch right back into the game.  Padraig Egan kept Drom & Inch in the match with a fine goal.

However, Holycross Ballycahill had done enough to claim the U13 Group 4 title.

Captain Tadhg Hennessy collected the Premier Engineering sponsored cup from the Mid Chairman, John Fahey.  Men of the match were Conor Judge and Eoin Cafferkey, and they were presented with their award from sponsor Michelle McKelvey.
