RTÉ's primetime show Nationwide takes viewers to rural Tipperary for a powerful story of loss, legacy, and triumph in Wednesday evening's episode.
The programme remembers Dillon Quirke, the gifted young Clonoulty Rossmore hurler who tragically passed away from Sudden Adult Death Syndrome in 2022.
His memory has lived on strongly within the Tipperary hurling family, and this summer, his spirit was a driving force behind the county’s historic All-Ireland victory over Cork in July.
Nationwide cameras join the post-match celebrations as members of the senior hurling panel bring the Liam MacCarthy Cup back to Clonoulty Rossmore, the club where Dillon first made his mark and where his influence continues to inspire both teammates and community.
The episode offers a poignant reminder of the unbreakable bond between club, county and player, and of the enduring inspiration Dillon Quirke provides to Tipperary hurling.
