Clonmel Applefest
A unique festival is taking place in Clonmel this weekend, celebrating the food, heritage and the natural environment of Clonmel.
The festival runs from Thursday September 25 until Sunday September 28 and offers many interesting events suitable for all the family.
Thursday September 25

Clonmel Camera Club will hold a photo exhibition at The Narrow Space Gallery, which will open this Thursday at 7pm.
The photography exhibition's theme is 'the ties that bind'.
The 'Clonmel Story Slam' promises to be a night of heart-stopping and spell-binding storytelling and will take place in Baker's Bar at 8.30pm that Thursday. Tickets cost €12.

Friday September 26
'Learn the Secrets of Apple Preserving with Sinéad Delahunty' - Bring your own apples for preservation! This event will take place at Presentation Secondary School Clonmel at 4pm and tickets cost €20.
'Back to the Grain: Flour Power for wholesome baking with Antje Huth' - Learn about different organic grains, their flour and what to make with each. Taking place in Raheen College, Raheen Road E91 H9P7 at 4pm, tickets cost €25.
'Biodiversity All Around Us - with Éanna NÍ Lamhna' - Éanna Ní Lamhna shares her love of wildlife and biodiversity. Takes place at the Main Guard at 7pm and tickets cost €12.
'Sun Merchant & Rasa Nua' - World Music Double Bill will perform at Gleeson's Bar that Friday at 8.30pm and tickets cost €18.
Saturday September 27
The Big Bake-Off - Enter your baked goods to win prizes at this year's Harvest Fair! The Harvest Fair at Kickham Plaza takes place from 12pm-2pm.
Soulfood Music & Wine Soirée - Tasty Tapas, wine and lively tunes! This event will take place at The Hub, O'Connell Street, Clonmel on Saturday at 7.30pm, tickets cost €28.
Harvest Fair - The annual harvest fair returns to a new location! Kickham Plaza will host this years fair from 11.30am-5pm. This event is free but first-come first-served so get down early!
Sunday September 28
Medicinal Plant Walk with Saffron Wells - Identification of medicinal and locally accessible plants, which can often be overlooked. This event takes place at the Greenane Blueway, Convent Bridge (across from Presentation Secondary school) on
Sunday at 12 noon, tickets cost €8.
Family Mindfulness & Yoga Walk - Mindfully travel around the park and along the river Suir with stops to breathe deeply, stretch and see the world with new eyes! Taking place at Mulcahy Park from 11am-12.30pm and tickets costs €6 pp or €15 per family.
The Honey Show hosted by South Tipp Beekeepers association - Hosted by South Tipp Beekeepers takes place at the Gaelcholáiste Chéitinn/CTI, the Mall on Sunday from 2-4pm. Tickets cost €5 (family) or €3 per adult at the door.
The Burning Cave Spoken Word Cabaret - Spoken word, poetry and music in an experimental setting. This event takes place at Channon's Forge on Sunday at 8pm, tickets cost €12.
PechaKucha - The first PechaKucha event takes place at Baker's in Clonmel at 5pm, tickets cost €8.
