Local community rallies around much-loved figure to organise of 'Ramble with Ronan' fundraiser

The event, called Ramble with Ronan, has already drawn a huge response, with more than 100 people signed up to take part alongside Ronan’s wife Annette and their four children.

Ronan is a much-cherished friend, colleague, and neighbour who has given so much of his time and energy to the town. As the Templemore correspondent for the Tipperary Star and a key figure in countless local initiatives, he has played a prominent role in improving community life. Now, as he faces this difficult challenge, the people of Templemore are determined to show their support for him and his family.

The ramble will begin at 2:30 pm from St Colmcille Primary School on Church Avenue and will end at Whitefield Brewery, where refreshments will kindly be provided by Cuilan Loughnane and family. Parking will be available at the Sacred Heart Church Car Park and in Templemore Co-Op Mart Car Park on Bank Street.

The Loughnane family have been overwhelmed by the level of goodwill and encouragement. Sponsors are very welcome, and donations can also be made directly.

Anyone wishing to take part or to sponsor a participant can register, further information is available by emailing aoifepercy@gmail.com, phoning 087-7734300, or visiting the official website at https://ronansrambles.fundmajor.com/.
