Residents in Kickham Street, Kickham Park, Catherine Street, Upper Gladstone Street, and surrounding areas may experience interruptions to their water supply from 11pm on Thursday, 2 October, until 4am on Friday, 3 October.

Dave Murphy of Uisce Éireann said: “We understand the inconvenience caused by an interruption to supply.

Every effort will be made to limit the impact of these essential works, and we would like to thank the community in advance for their patience and cooperation.

“Following the completion of the works, it can take two to three hours for normal water supply to return to customers as water refills the network, particularly for those properties on higher ground or at the end of the network.”

Vulnerable customers who have registered with Uisce Éireann receive direct notifications for planned and unplanned outages lasting more than four hours. Those wishing to register as a vulnerable customer or an alternative contact can do so via the company’s website.

Uisce Éireann encourages customers to stay informed through multiple channels, including their website, X channel (@IWCare), and their customer care helpline, which operates 24/7 on 1800 278 278.

A free text alert service is also available, providing real-time updates for local issues; customers can sign up using their Eircode and mobile number on the Uisce Éireann Text Alerts page.
