Third-level colleges in Tipperary are set to benefit from a share of €41 million in devolved capital grants, announced by Higher Education Minister James Lawless for 2026 and 2027.
Technological University of the Shannon (TUS), with campuses in Thurles and Clonmel, will receive over €3 million.

Mary Immaculate College (MIC), which also offers courses at the St Patrick campus in Thurles, will receive €700,000.
This funding could spark a wave of improvements, from boosting energy efficiency and enhancing safety and accessibility to revitalizing older spaces and upgrading essential equipment and technology.
