Miss Ireland Dublin hopeful Maria asks Tipperary to support her

Maria Murphy

Maria Murphy is a finalist in the Miss Ireland competition which takes place at the Helix on Sunday 16th September. She is representing Dublin in the competition but has strong Tipperary links.

She is the daughter of Tim and Josephine Murphy. Josephine is originally from Clonoulty and Maria is no stranger to the premier county as she is a regular visitor to Glenough where her grandmother Mary O'Dwyer and all her relatives live.
Maria is from Millstreet, Co Cork and completed her education at Scoil Phobail Sliabh Luachra, Rathmore, Co Kerry. Following on she completed her undergraduate studies at UCC and her masters also at UCC. She now works in Dublin.
Maria would like to ask the Tipperary Star readers to support her in this year's Miss Ireland competition by following her on Instagram and to make a donation to her chosen charity Cancer Research. Best of luck for the final Maria!
