8. Ciaran Connolly (Loughmore Castleiney)
The fulcrum of the Loughmore effort comes from their work rate and this man is the player which sets the standard and he was a big reason for the second half performance for his team. There are few players as fit and athletic in the club game at the moment and Connolly is the link between defence and attack and was colossal on Sunday, with his point in the second half an inspirational one after a brilliant James McCormack save. He is the type of player pre-packaged and ready for the modern game and might be worth looking at for Tipp in the coming months.
