U14 C Shield Final
Cashel King Cormacs 4-04
Lorrha Dorrha 0-07
On Sunday evening Cashel King Cormacs were crowned U14 C Shield champions after a 4-04 to 7 point victory over Lorrha Dorrha.
It was a very strong performance by Cashel all over the field with 3 goals from Niamh Manton and one from Emma Bonnar giving Cashel a half-time lead of 4-03 to 0-03.
Lorrha fought hard but huge defensive work by Cashel's backline and goalie denied them a comeback. Ella O’Meara was Lorrha’s chief scorer finishing with a personal tally of 6 points (5 frees) while Sophie Houilhan also finished with a point.
Lorrha battled hard throughout and put in a great second half performance to limit Cashel to just one point. However the goals they badly needed never came and it was Cashel who ran out deserving winners.
