Motorists in South Tipperary are being asked to drive slowly due to a recent increase in accidents involving deer.

A warning has been issued in South Tipperary for motorists to be careful when driving due to an increase in accidents involving deer in the county.

A number of accidents have occurred recently in the Clogheen area, according to local correspondent PJ English.

"These accidents are caused by wild deer crossing the road between Ballyporeen and Goatenbridge and beyond.

"One dangerous part is just beyond Shanrahan cross roads on the Ballyporeen side. Please drive slow on this road," he warned.

The news comes a few days after another warning was issued by Cllr Liam Browne for motorists to be vigilant due to deer being spotted recently along roads from Clune to Dundrum, Tipperary, Coolanga, Priest Road, and Clonoulty.
