The local ambulance fundraiser received a significant boost this morning thanks to a generous donation from Nenagh Chamber of Commerce.
Three long-standing members of the ambulance committee — David King, John Sherlock (not pictured), and Michael Fitzsimons — were delighted to accept the donation from William Talbot of Sherry FitzGerald Talbot, representing Nenagh Chamber.
Committee members expressed deep gratitude for the continued support from the Nenagh community, noting that contributions from individuals, groups, clubs, schools, and businesses have been the sole source of funding for the new ambulance.
“This next ambulance will be truly community-funded,” a spokesperson said. “Every euro raised so far has come from local people and organisations. It’s something our community can be very proud of.”

All donations made towards the ambulance fund will be acknowledged on a commemorative plaque, ensuring contributors are recognised for their part in this vital community effort.
The committee added that they will provide an update on fundraising progress in the coming weeks as they continue working towards their goal.
