Tipperary deaths and funeral arrangements - March 8

Profound sadness descended upon Newcastle on Wednesday morning last when the community learned of the sad passing of the late Tom Halley, Boolahalla, Newcastle.

Predeceased by his parents Lizzie and Michael.

Tom was a very jovial man with a lovely disposition, he will be sorely missed not alone by his family, but all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He was highly involved in the community through his work with the local BN BCE scheme and also of the local vintage club where he was a valued member for many years.

On Friday evening 23rd February his remains were removed from Aidan Walsh funeral home Cappoquin to Newcastle Church where a guard of honour was lined up to escort his remains to the local church which were received by Fr Michael Twomey.

Funeral Mass on Saturday, February 24th followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

We extend our sympathies to his wife Kelly, sister Mary Looby, brother in law Liam Looby, niece Lisa, nephew Bill and his wife Mags, grand nephew Jack, extended O'Donnell family, relatives, friends and neighbours.

May his gentle soul rest in peace.
