Clonmel kayaker Beibhin Butler ended 2025 as the Canoeing Ireland Senior Female C1 Champion, while winning the Canoe Ireland Female Freestyle Paddler of the Year award.
That crowned a tremendous year that saw her secure a place on the Irish Women’s C1 (she was the only Irish woman to qualify in this category) and K1 teams for the ICF Canoe Freestyle World Championships held at Plattling, Germany.
At those championships she finished in sixth place in the Women’s C1, and eighth place in the Women’s K1.
