ALERT: Bus replacements scheduled after disruptions to Tipperary train line

Bus replacements scheduled on Limerick–Ballybrophy line for Saturday 12 July

Train disruptions

Due to essential engineering works taking place between Birdhill and Roscrea on Saturday, 12th July, Irish Rail services on the Limerick–Ballybrophy line will be replaced by bus transfers throughout the day.

The following service changes will apply:

07:00 Limerick to Ballybrophy – This train will be replaced by a bus service calling at Castleconnell, Birdhill, Nenagh, Roscrea, and Ballybrophy. An additional bus will operate from Nenagh to Cloughjordan and Roscrea.

17:10 Limerick to Ballybrophy – A similar bus replacement service will operate for this departure, with stops at Castleconnell, Birdhill, Nenagh, Roscrea, and Ballybrophy, plus an additional bus from Nenagh to Cloughjordan and Roscrea.

09:00 Ballybrophy to Limerick – This service will be substituted by buses calling at Roscrea, Nenagh, Birdhill, Castleconnell, and Limerick. An additional bus will operate from Roscrea to Cloughjordan and Nenagh.

19:05 Ballybrophy to Limerick – A bus transfer will replace this train, with stops at Roscrea, Nenagh, Birdhill, Castleconnell, and Limerick. A second bus will serve Cloughjordan and Nenagh from Roscrea.

Passengers are advised to allow extra travel time and check updated timetables in advance.
