Roscrea RFC member presented with Hall of Fame award after three decades of service

Norman Carter was honoured in the Garda Club in Westmanstown last week

Roscrea Rugby RFC would like to congratulate Norman Carter as a club member and Midlands Area Nominee on winning the Sean O Brien Hall of Fame Award.

The award was presented by Leinster Rugby President Moira Flahive, at the awards lunch last weekend in the Garda Club in Westmanstown.

Norman served on the Roscrea RFC management committee for almost 30 years and refereed hundreds of youth, schools and adult league and cup matches.

He went on to become heavily involved in mentoring young referees and encourages more young people to get involved.

Well done Norman and to his wife Noreen, a well-deserved win.
