Some Clonmel RFC players were delighted to meet up with Irish internationals Joe McCarthy and Dan Sheehan last weekend at Seapoint RFC in Dublin
It was a busy final weekend for Clonmel RFC Minis with five of our teams in action last weekend following their trip to Muskerry, Cork, the previous weekend.
On the Saturday, our U8s, U9s and U10s made the short trip to Carrick-on-Suir RFC to play a blitz against the hosts and Tramore RFC. It was an enjoyable morning of rugby with the boys giving a great account of themselves in their final outing of the season.
On the Sunday, our U11s and U12s made the long journey to Seapoint RFC in Dublin to play in their annual blitz which welcomed 130 teams from 41 clubs from all over the country.
The boys played teams from UL Bohs, Gorey, Muskerry, Old Belvedere, Kinsale, Seapoint, Wicklow and Ballinrobe. The Clonmel boys were very impressive winning 14 out of 16 matches playing fantastic flowing rugby. It was a fitting finale to a very successful season for the Clonmel boys.
Irish internationals Dan Sheehan and Joe McCarthy were on hand for some photos with the boys which made the day even more memorable.
Well done to all the coaches for their work throughout the season and thanks to the parents for their continued support.
