Planning permission has been granted for a new synthetic grass playing pitch in Tipperary.
Planning was recently granted to St Patricks GAA Club to built a new pitch which will be located at Anner Park in Cloneen.
As well as a new playing pitch the development will include goals, perimeter edge fencing and nets, floodlighting, ball-stop nets and the relocation of an existing ball wall.
As part of the council's report an archaeological assessment was undertaken by the archaeologist Maurice Hurley, which concluded that the proposal is unlikely to have any impact on the area.

Letters of support were also submitted during the planning process from a local community games association and the board of management at Cloneen National School.
Both letters outlined that each gave their full support to the project.
