Tipp minor hurling management team will not be happy with their capitulation in the closing stages of this afternoons defeat to Waterford.
Tipperary's minor hurlers followed up on their victory over Cork and blow a 12 point lead to Waterford in Limerick
Tipperary 3-9
Waterford 2- 13
Tipperary's minor hurlers blew a twelve point lead in the Munster minor hurling championship tie at the Gaelic Grounds, Limerick this afternoon to really scupper their chance of making the Munster Final.
3-8 to 0-5 in front midway through the second half, Tipperary somehow managed to lose this game with Waterford bagging late goals to seal a famous win for the Deise.
Tipperary held an interval lead of six points and it could easily have been more than the 1-6 to 0-3 scoreline. The goal from Sean Hayes gave them a cushion going into the second half, and Tommy Dunne's men were probably well satisfied with their lot as they went into the break.
Further Tipp goals from Hayes and full forward Devon Ryan put Tipp in a very commanding position, but Waterford battled back and found the scores, late on, to stage a remarkable comeback. Helped by two goals from wing back Michael Kiely in the 29th and 30th minutes, Waterford went on to take the lead and the points in this remarkable victory, but a game which will be remembered by Tipperary as the one they left behind.
