St Molleran's U-12 hurlers defeated Roanmore by two points to win the Division Two City League in Walsh Park in Waterford on Sunday.

After conceding an early goal, the St Molleran's players settled into the game. Darragh Reade scored a goal, which helped put the team into the lead at half time. The half-time score was St. Mollerans 1-3, Roanmore 1-1.

In an exciting second half, Roanmore scored a goal to put them ahead but then Cody Phelan put St Molleran's back in front. David Comerford scored two more points giving the Carrickbeg team a 2 point lead with minutes to go. However, Roanmore scored a goal to go a point up with time almost up. Darragh Reade ran onto a long clearance from defence. Despite being surrounded by Roanmore players, he hurled the ball into the net.

The St Molleran's team battled hard to keep the lead and finally the ref blew the full-time whistle.

St Molleran's Captain Nathan Maher lifted the trophy to the excitement of his teammates. Final score: St. Mollerans 3-5, Roanmore 3-3.
