On Sunday, June 15 last the heart of Killea beat stronger than ever as our community came together for the 16th annual Killea Community Fun Day and Feile Margaret O'Sullivan.
From the roaring engines of the vintage tractors and vehicles in the morning to the laughter and music ringing out over the GAA field in the afternoon, the day was a celebration filled with joy, tradition, and unforgettable memories in the sunshine.
We were delighted to welcome back again this year so many of you— families, friends, neighbours, and visitors-who made the day so special.
Whether you took part in the tractor run, danced to the beat of the amazing Thomas McDonagh Pipeband or sat in the Cafe with a cuppa and beautiful home baking or enjoyed a tasty burger from the BBQ while listening to the gig rig of talented musicians, dancers and singers from near and far, joined the sheaf throwing contest, or cheered on our racing sheep, while the kids enjoyed the train ride, face painting or lots of laughter from the bouncy castles and much more your energy spirit and presence made all the difference.
We say a big thank you. To our incredible loyal volunteers, musicians, singers and dancers, local businesses, and sponsors we say a huge thank you.
We are so so grateful to each and everyone for without your support this Funday and Feile would not be such a huge success. Your generosity, time, and talent are what keep this beautiful tradition alive and thriving.
