Park Run Templemore
Run number 61 attracted a fine field of 44 who between them recorded 8 PB's. There were 4 first timers, bringing to 670 the number of people who have tested themselves over this fine course. There was serious quality on show with Gary Scully leading the way in 18.15, with Noel Mc Grath 19.21 and Adrian Mc Ginley 19.34 having a great joust just behind him while Sean Percy got in under 20 minutes by a mere second. Sharon Kiely was leading lady, and a PB of 23.48, with Laura Bradish 26.38 and Maureen Connolly 28.35 next in line.
Visitor Derek Cullen (Leixlip) completed his 81st run. A number of our regulars are approaching some notable career and life milestones over the next few weeks. More about that in due course.
A notable "dubutante" to the Run was Sean Fogarty, who is better known for his marathon exploits. Johnny Mc Inerney achieved his third successive PB with Nora Smyth, Mary T Ryan and Gwyn Wallace also achieving PB's. In this event goals are many and varied, individually set and not always public. The winners are the participants with no losers. Roll on 9.30 am Saturday
