Culture night 2018 took place on September 20th last with nationwide celebrations of our Irish culture through music, dance and song.
Cill Shléibhe CCÉ joined in the celebrations by hosting a concert of champions. It was the perfect opportunity to showcase all our Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann branch winners.
The night kicked off with Senior Groupa Cheoil winners Tairseach which is a joint branch group made up of members from Cill Shléibhe and Tulach Sheasta.
The line up continued with Bríd Barry who was placed 3rd in Senior Céilí Drums.
Next up was Sean Burke who placed 3rd in U12 Sean Nós.
Sorcha Fogarty who was placed 2nd on fife in the U15 miscellaneous competition
Sarah Bourke was placed 1st in U18 Bodhrán.
The entertainment came to a close with Tairseach playing their winning piece from this year's competition.
On the night Cill Shléibhe CCÉ presented each of the winners with a plaque in recognition of their achievements.
Cill Shléibhe CCÉ would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who played music on the night and to all those who helped make the night a great success. It is proven time and time again that our Irish culture is well and truly alive and thriving here in Tipperary.
