Book of Evidence served in Thurles fatal road accident case

The Book of Evidence has been served on a man accused of causing the death of hurler and Mary Immaculate College student Adam Kirwan.


Sean Fitzpatrick (21) of Killpurcell, Ballybrophy, county Laois, is charged with dangerous driving at College Green, Monakeeba, Thurles on March 2, 2023, and appeared before Judge Adrian Harris at Thurles District Court on Tuesday.

The case is to be heard at the next sitting of  Nenagh Circuit Court in October. 

Sgt Tom Hanrahan made an application for the defendant to be remanded on bail until then.

Judge Harris granted the application and  legal aid to the defendant on an  application by solicitor Colin Morrissey.
